BEAUTIFULLY PREPARED by MONICA SCHAEFER

Many women have  struggled  with their looks, their weight, being accepted or  liking themselves. As I began to read this book, I found myself thinking I have experienced many of these same things throughout my life. We are out own worse enemy. When we begin to think we are not pretty or liked, we start to believe it and before we know it, we are trapped by the enemy. The media is a vast source of perceiving women a certain way. The magazines are full of beautiful , perfect women who we think we need to look like.

I loved the example the author gave about Eve. She went against God and ate  from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. She didn't trust God, but believed she knew better. It is time for us to seek God and listen to him instead of lies from the enemy. The book does an excellent job of redirecting us to listen to God and know we are beautifully made. It goes on to say we need to spend more time with Him. We should allow Him to speak to us and read scriptures that will encourage us. The book also includes resources and scripture meditation at the end which is a very useful tool.

Allow God to show you areas that you may be struggling in. Let Him remind you that you have a purpose. Is something holding you back from seeking  your destiny? Have you not forgiven someone? The book is such an encouragement and I love the illustrations that shows the beauty of a woman. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come." 2 Corinthians 5:17

I would encourage every woman to read this book and be encouraged that you are beautiful and God does have a plan for your life.

UNMASKING THE DEVIL by JOHN RAMIREZ

This is not an easy book to read if you don't understand spiritual warfare, but it is very informative. It is true that there is an enemy out there, but he can be disguised as anyone. His tricks are many and often subtle. I liked when the author talked about the enemy invading your mind. How many of us have believed that we are sick, unloved, or just ready to give up? See how easy it is for the enemy to take our thoughts captive and make you think things that are not true.

The author gives lots of examples like tarot cards etc which can be deceiving to us. We need to be prayerful and be guided by the Holy Spirit to remove obstacles that are not of God. It is a very in-depth book that helps readers be more aware of  the enemy and be on guard for the attack . The book is filled with scriptures that are powerful tools to speak over your life. As an army prepares for battle they get information that will help them win. We need to do the same thing against the enemy. The book gives us many examples of how the enemy will sneak in and try to destroy you. What can we do to win? The easy answer is prayer and making good decisions. Thank you for sharing your story and giving us useful tools to fight off the enemy.

CREATED WITH PURPOSE by JOHANNAH CLARK LEACH and VICTORIA WEST HENADY

The book is an amazing journey as two women share their testimony to encourage each of us .  "Testimonies are powerful and meant to be shared. They build faith and hope in others." I truly believe that statement and know how much an impact testimonies make. There are hurting people in the world that think they are the only ones going through something. The enemy has made them believe to be ashamed and to not share their journey. The truth is through out test is our testimony. It is so powerful to hear someone share how they overcame abuse, drugs or a difficult marriage. It not only encourages others but it shows how God can use anyone and love them unconditionally.

I loved how they reminded us that we do have a  purpose and destiny. We can sometimes forget that when we are in the midst of a battle. Isn't it nice to know that "He will never leave us nor forsake us."  The book is powerful and gives readers encouraging ways to be who God called them to be. We can't let doubt or insecurity stop us from sharing our story . He does have a plan for each of us. Some may ask why were they allowed to go through difficult times. Maybe the reason  was to strengthen your faith or to show you that you can make a difference . God wants us to be the voice to spread His love and not let the enemy steal our joy. Now it's time to share your story and "take the first step."
