I am glad that I received this book in plenty of time to go through each chapter and do the study. It has a lot of teachings I didn't want to skip over and I found it to be very in depth and filled with helpful insights. The study is eight weeks long and delves into the early church.

I loved when the author said, " Bible study is not about information; Bible study is about transformation." If all we get out of a Bible study is information, then we haven't achieved what the study was for. It is to help us understand scripture better, dig deeper in the lives of people in the Bible and help us with our daily walk with God.

I especially liked Week 5 because it deals with humility. As we humble ourselves God is able to use us to share His word with others. We can find examples of people in the Bible that used humility to share the Gospel with others. In the study Daniel is used as an example of a man who humbled himself. He prayed and interceded on behalf of Judah. He could have turned his back on Judah, but instead he prayed and humbled himself before the Lord.

I enjoyed the study and grew in knowledge from it. I loved the many scriptures used in the study and how it was broken down so it was easy to understand. The overall study is well written and delivers a powerful look at humility, Peter, John and historical figures such as Martin Luther. It is a study that helped me deal with some difficult things I'm facing and helped me to dig deeper in scriptures that became clearer to me.

I  received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
