SAVE THE LAST DANCE BY SHELLEY SHEPARD GRAY 

Kimber Klein has left the modeling world behind. She’s sick of the constant pressure to be perfect and ready to live her life without watching every little thing she eats. She’s also really happy to finally spend some time getting to know herself and the two sisters she never met until recently. Life is good...mostly. Kimber can’t stop worrying about a stalker she’s hoping she left behind in New York City. She doesn’t think he’s found her in Bridgeport, until one day she leaves her volunteer job at the elementary school library to find two of her tires slashed. Gunnar Law is satisfied with his life as a single dad. He’s still getting to know his son, Jeremy, since he’s only been fostering the teen for a short while. While parenting someone you only just met can be a little awkward, Gunnar loves Jeremy and plans to adopt him as soon as they can get the paperwork through. Life is pretty simple, and he likes it that way. Then one afternoon, he and Jeremy stop to help a distraught - and extremely beautiful - woman who had her tires slashed in the school parking lot. And suddenly life doesn’t seem quite so simple anymore.

In this final chapter of the Dance with Me series, Shelley Shepard Gray leads us back to Bridgeport, Ohio, where family comes in all shapes and sizes, everyone deserves a second chance, and falling in love happens when you least expect it. 

MY REVIEW 

If you haven’t read the first two books in this series I would highly recommend it. I hate to see the series end, but the author  has done a great job of making the three  sisters come to life as we experience their journey. It has been a hard road as these sisters come together to reconnect. I loved the back story on them and how they were able to finally meet. The first two books will touch on that a bit more. In this book we focus on Kimber. 

I loved her character and how sweet she was. Giving up modeling will be a huge change for her but maybe she can find something that will  give her enjoyment. Coming back to her hometown is a challenge from the fast pace modeling like in New York. Kimber does have someone who has been stealing her but she hopes he can’t find her after moving and changing her number. The author slowly shows how the stalker shows up and that puts Kimber on high alert as she gets ready to do one more job in New York. 

Gunnar is a character that you instantly like. He is fostering a teenage boy while working full time on his own. What a great example he is to others to reach out to this teen and help him realize that he is wanted. The relationship between Gunner and Jeremy is good but they do need to learn to communicate and trust each other more. It is interesting to follow them in the story as the topic  of adoption comes up. Will Jeremy finally get a permanent home? Can Gunnar show Jeremy how much it would mean to him to adopt Jeremy. 

There is a little suspense in the  story which I really liked. The stalker once again tries to harm Kimber and the tension rises as the person will stop at nothing to get to Kimber. I was a little shocked when we find out who was the stalker. Money and fame are not always everything but pride and greed push the stalker to the edge. The story wraps up nicely and I though it was fitting that the three sisters end the story celebrating finding each other.
